In relation to questions I have read, I am asking about the best version of XP (as I don't want Vista) upgrading from Pro SP2...
Posting advantages and disadvantages of versions will really help:)

If you like it for something exceptional, please share your experiences about that version...

My specs (wasn't high)
Intel Celeron 2.26 GHz
ASUS P4VP-MX
792mb PC400 RAM
280 GB WD + Exelstor

P.S. I'm talking about the MediaCenter, Black, Indigo? ^_^

I find that custom versions never have what I want and just install the plain xp sp2

Yep and and a lot of Microsoft " ET phone home " just to check if you have a legit copy . But ya you do yourself a big disservice if you don't get the WU . It could be a security exploit with Windows Media Player , IE , Office 2007 or any program they provide but can't secure . ;)

OP. You're going to have problems if you upgrade.

Clean install is best.
