You don't know PHP and MySQL, yet you're programming a bittorrent tracker... Wow.

What do you already know how to do?
Which parts do you need help with?

If you've starting from scratch and have no knowledge then just forget the idea for a few months/years until you start learning the basics.

obviously not if he is whipping up a bittorrent tracker from scratch.

my guess is he has the torrentbits source code (http://www.xs4all.nl/~zjuul/) but he doesnt know how to customise it. from the looks of it your gonna need to learn css, php and html to edit the source properly.

good luck with it.

'k. Not that he had to take me laughing at what rossco said personally, but.

=-=

Most .css and html I know I picked up from places like this (http://www.w3schools.com/) (the cunt supposed to teach it to me at uni didn't know it that well, he just pretended to). It's fairly simple stuff. Have a wee look at DTDs (http://htmlhelp.com/tools/validator/doctype.html) while you are at it as well, and remember to test things in both FF and IE at least, especially if you are using any JavaScript.

Some sort of html-validation plugin, and maybe Firebug (http://www.getfirebug.com/) can be useful as well (those are for firefox).

EDit: RE: php together with MySQL. (http://se.php.net/manual/en/ref.mysql.php)

I'm gonna assume you can sort the MySQL-syntax yourself, though, it's not as if it's tricky, just basic SQL with some nice additions, and some rather useless ones as well.
