Wow, I saw this on amazon. I already own a Premium Xbox 360 and I won't be selling it for an Elite but wow this is a really good deal. Imo, a way better deal than buying a PS3.

Ok, so I just noticed that there is a mail in rebate for 5 free hi-def movies, but still it's a great deal.

Wow! Great offer! What would I need to add (chip/boot/etc) to be able to play downloded games?

there was me thinking u get the HD drive built in the elite...
i guess all they did was stick a new harddrive with it and the HDMI port.

Then the Xbox 360 isn't screwed because of a lack of support for the drive. Theres not a big deal making the drive built into the Xbox anyways just because the games are on DVD-9.

The only thing good about the separate HD-DVD drive is the fact you can hook it up to a computer.

On paper, the PS3 is a wayyy better deal than the 360.

That hi-def bundle is garbage compared to a 60 GB PS3.

1. The 60 GB PS3 is $500 right now.

2. Blu-Ray player incl.

3. You get 5 free Blu-Ray movies also.

4. Wi-Fi is built-in. 360 - $100

5. Bluetooth built-in. Someone told me I can use my cell phone bluetooth headset (I have to research that).

6. It has built-in card readers.

7. There is no way (barring a miracle) that HD-DVD will overtake Blu-Ray.

Blu-Ray has more capacity.

Blu-Ray has the most movie studios around it.

Blu-Ray trojan horsed into every PS3 owners household.

Blockbuster shuned HD-DVD for lack of rents. Blu-Ray is now prominently featured.

8. PSN is free and getting better. XBL is the best but costs $50 ayear.

I did know that the 60 gig PS3 was going down to $499 because Sony is going to stop making 'em and they have to compete with the 360. I guess you pay more into the Xbox for a 2x bigger hdd as opposed to the PS3's wifi and the Xbox is still $20 cheaper. Also, I did not know that the PS3 was doing the free 5 movie deal, probably to compete with Xbox, or the other way around.

I'm not sure that's a good thing about the PS3. :P
