I was wondering can people buy those police radar thingys?? Like in need for speed hot pursuit 2, when the police get nearer you see more stars? Can people actually buy devices that detect nearbuy police cars?

Depends where you live.....some countries, states etc, have outlawed them.

doing a quick search on google i've concluded - no, but there are speed trap detectors, but nothing to detect a car - unless you had a police radio you might be able to make out they're position if you listened carefully

I&#39;m not familiar with "Need for Speed - Hot Pursuit 2" that KrackHead2k mentioned.
Is it a movie or a video game or what? :huh:

I gather from Riddler&#39;s response that KrackHead2k wasn&#39;t merely looking for a RADAR DETECTOR. :unsure:

In NFS Hot Pursuit 2, there is like a radar thingy on top of the screen, as a police start to come after you you see stars on the radar, the worse the chase the more stars.

Basically, I&#39;m looking for a radar that detects and notifies you when a police car is near.

I don&#39;t know of a device like that. :unsure:

My radar detector only alerts me when the police are using their radar guns.

Though there is a siren that goes off when it detects some emergency vehicles (fire truck / ambulance), but they have to be broadcasting a special signal.

Yea, I guess there aren&#39;t any radars like in NFS Hot Pursuit 2. Oh well, would be cool to get ahold of one though.
