Nero is a flexible, reliable, and easy-to-use application designed to write both data and CD audio to CD-R and CD-RW discs. It supports ISO 9660 images as well as ISO mode 1 and XA mode 2, and allows for on-the-fly disc recording in addition to overburning (if supported by hardware). Nero also supports multisession and mixed-mode recording, HFS, ISO/HFS hybrid, UDF, PSX, OFAS (optimal file access speed), track-at-once (TAO) and disc-at-once (DAO) writing, digital audio extraction, and more. In addition, Nero can dynamically disable automatic-insert notification, offers support for multiple languages, and works with all major models of CD-R and CD-RW drives. This download also contains Nero's standalone Cover Editor for designing and printing CD covers.

I hate it that they never have a changelog.
Luckily my download is already finished when I am typing this.
But people on 56k must really hate it.

wonder why they release so many updates and they dont require a different key really..
yeah they release at the end of every month, but nero 6 will be out in 2/3 weeks u think, noticed it on the homepage, wonder if that will be even better. :)
Usually these updates are to support extra hardware and media. And sometimes a little bug.
exactly!

This looks like the main OEM site - ftp://ftp6.nero.com/

Wonder why the .de site is passworded but none of the .com or /en sites are?

I could be wrong but I think nerovision is activated automatically with a licenced Nero install. Nerovision hasn't asked for a key on my system yet at least.

you're not wrong, but nerovision express may ask for a key even when you have a licensed nero burning rom installed. in that case just use the key that was used for nero burning rom.
:D

yeah, open nero, go to data, then continue with a multisession disc
then insert the disc when prompted
i don't think you can do multisession on music cd's though

i have a question:
can i burn a .avi file onto a cd-r so that it will work on a DVD player with Nero?
i've tried it with easy cd creator but it did not work.

you need to convert to MPEG because a DVD player can't read .AVI files

Because you need to convert the interleaved audio/video separately. The bitrates are not the same and won't be in sync unless you do.
AVI = audio/video interleaved , video usually encoded in variable bitrate, audio in mp3 or wav.
