I dual boot XP and Gentoo.

i dual/tri boot win xp, suse 8.2 pro and red hat 9.0
im debating wether to install freebsd or debian next for a bit of testing, B)

Nope but i have it on a cd. It's pretty cool.

oh...yea im planning to try gentoo and Knoppix next month. i hope i can get through the install process ok though. Heard it was pretty hard.
Aye it is. But to tell ya what, I have learned more about linux while installing Gentoo then I did when i used Red Hat for two weeks. I don't even have a windows manager either. Kde has been downloading and compiling for about 6 hours now :lol:

wait till you gotta compile your first kernel you will love that ;)
Oh thats easy. You have to compile and download everything in Gentoo. Even as a Linux noob it was easy. Only takes about 40 minutes too. I've had to do it like 4 times so far because i kept forking something up ;)

yea i know what you mean. i didnt learn a thing in mdk9.1. it was too automatic but i did like the hardware autodetect.

Dual boot XP Pro and another XP Pro (backup hehe)
Then i got Win 2000, Win ME, Linux Redhat, and SuSe in Virtual PC.
Redaht 9 on my fairly new desktop, winxp pro on my old desktop and freebsd on my alienware laptop although its not going to well for me on that one. I think freebsd has a way to go when it comes to laptop support. :rolleyes:
