I understand the question differently. I'm not in their IRC channel so I can't answer that definitely but the bonus should be active as soon as you join the channel. Isn't there some information like "your irc bonus is active" in your profile?

Your correct Daniel.. In your profile it should say irc enable...

It says that IRC Bonus enabled though I've never joined the channel :P
