http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v383/Hairbautt/News%20Images/YahooLogo.pngThe Sunnyvale company, Yahoo, which has recently provided unlimited storage for its email users as of May of '07 may not be what users think.

Softpedia's Bogdan Popa--Security and Search Engines Editor-- has, however, revealed the uselessness of Yahoo!'s new unlimited storage space by disproving the misconception "that [having] an unlimited storage capacity allows you to send numerous files attached to the email." It simply doesn't.

Currently, the global Internet services company only allows up to 10 MB (including encoding) email messages which generally allows for a maximum of 7-8 MB for an attached file . As mentioned in the original article, Yahoo states that the goal of their new email storage policy "isn’t to provide an online storage warehouse", but instead gives the "normal email account users...an opportunity to not have to worry about hitting a storage limit." Be as sentimental as you want.

*It is also noted that usage that suggests the 'storage warehouse' approach does indeed get flagged by Yahoo! Mail’s anti-abuse system.
