Just saw a topic about hacking and all that crap -- and now iam worried about my precious movies and porn -- that's all i have but what can i do 2 protect my computer --

any advice would be great

If you have only 1 PC, get a firewall.

ZoneAlarm is freely available. Go to Zonelab.com (http://www.zonelabs.com). (click the "free zonealarm" link at the lower right side of page)

You can download an upgrade key generator from Kazaa, but its not really necessary.

Regardless of what others will recommend, ZoneAlarm is by far the easiest to use.

If you have a home network, don't worry, your router acts as a hardware firewall.

I've heard many times that a firewall can affect downloading and stuff like that. Does that apply to all firewalls or just certain ones?

Yep, that's bout the best firewall out there.
well.. besides unpluggin your internet when not in use lol.. but that'll mess up broadband sometimes.

this articule is talking about the free 1, why bother with that 1 if take about two more minutes to crack a proper 1
edit: I have came across sites where you have to disconect the firewall to donwload. After that run it in adware+viruscam for safe(whatever you download). Reconect the wall et voila.
