It was my birthday today.

I'm going to a show. No, I can't take you. I wish I could(take all of you), but I can't. :stuart:

What show? Perry Farrel's new band. I heard a few songs on the radio and they kinda sucked. But he's also playing some of his bread and butter songs from his more popular band(Jane's Addiction). If they play the mountain song it'll make the whole thing worthwhile.

Thank you, lilmiss & nigel. Yeah, I looked down to see "today's birthdays" at the bottom of the vb index page and was surprised that mine wasn't there. Then I realized I never regisitered it to begin with.

I had a great time at the show. I was only about 1- 2 meters(3 - 6 feet) from Perry Farrell the whole show because it was a small venue and I was up front. I would have brought my camera, but I thought it would get destroyed in the pit so I left it in my vehicle.

First impressions/thoughts about Perry Farrell:

- He wore this indescribable grin throughout much of the show, that's what I remember most(the pic below is the closest i could find, and it's a thumbnail).

- His speaking voice is alot more feminine than I was expecting.

- He is a graceful performer. That wasn't as much a surprise, after all he's had alot of practice at lollapalooza and all.

- He seemed like a very sincere and compassionate person.

Needless to say, I had a great night.
