what's the difference? i saw the workprint and i liked it. my co-worker didn't like it like most ppl, but i didn't see what the problem was. if u go into this film realizing it's not trying to rip off the original, but a new dir with "his" take on the overall story. i thought it was a pretty straightforward hack'n slash film. show's a lot more story about how michael becums mr. myers and it was short enough not to ruin the film imho. now, the theatrical version is supposed to cum out with 6 more BRUTAL killings and a whole new ending. so, back on the clock i say again. what's the difference... between the 2? on that note like i said earlier. this remake was good and brutal. really dug it. 8.5/10

so, in watching halloween 2 i'd like to elaborate on the differences between the workprint and the theatrical version of 1. there's a shit ton of dialog changes between the two, more kills, different deaths and most noticeably is both have completely different endings.

Noted differences (http://horror-movie-a-day.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=1978-01-01T00%3A00%3A00-08%3A00&updated-max=1979-01-01T00%3A00%3A00-08%3A00&max-results=1)

Maybe they stalled because they thought the movie would not sell in theaters? Or casting issues? Halloween has been beaten to death with remake after remake and they get worse every year, it seems.
