Software To Take Clips Out Of Mpeg Files?

does any1 know any names of software where i can take certain clips out of MPEG files for example i got some clips of some comedy programes of kazaa which are taken from the full episodes of the programme, how do they do it?

i just want to take out a 2minute clip out of a 30minute programme to send sombody on MSN

any help would be great thanks

problem sorted a friend told me 2 use ULEAD video studio 6 and it works great
