Slowest - Emule

edonkey WAS very fast in its early days. well, if not necessarily "very fast," it was at least "acceptably fast." not sure what happened tho... as i quit using it after a few months, and then recently tried out overnet and emule which both crawled at a snail&#39;s pace. <_<

Very Slow - Morphous ( dosent conect & has nothing )
Slowest - Emule( 1-2 kbs )
Slow Med - Bitorent ( 4-5kbs )
Mediam - K-lite ( 6-7 kbs )
Fastest - Shareza ( 10kbs )


Mirc depends if your inline first
The others i dont use and imesh went dead a year ago just like morphous did

Well with my 128k modem...speed varies but

Kazaa Lite-Max I have had was just yesterday when I saw 28kbs
Shareza-10-15kbs
Emule-15ish
Bittorent-10kbs
Emule/Edonkey-Had slow speeds quite a lot of the time,e.g 6-10kbs

The fastest is direct connect - I get crazy speeds there. K-lite a close second followed by shareaza.
and of course the slowesest being e-mule or donkey, actually the slowest is filetopia but i barley consider that a p2p anymore, just a bunch of leechers.

bittorrent has peak times for new files. it&#39;s all about getting in when a lot of seeds are available, rather than too soon (50-100 leechers all trying to download from the original seed) or too late (after a couple days everyone loses interest in sharing the file and closes their seeds).

I used to think Emule was slow but after I&#39;ve tweaked my settings and understood how it works, I&#39;m addicted to it. The range of files is incredible and no fakes and corruptions. I use Kazaa for small files and Emule for everything else...actually haven&#39;t used Kazaa in weeks.

The thing with BT is someone has to be first , or second rather, and those early birds will be slower than than the people who are riding the crest of the wave a little later on but still they will get the file before the others, It will just take longer because they start earlier but if enough people jump on board it will soar ahead .

Bittorrent is crazy fast, but I&#39;ve seen a lot of people who haven&#39;t configured their firewalls properly so it&#39;s very slow. People forget that WinXP has built in firewall too. When I turned mine off, speeds skyrocketed...
