Losing Connection After Hibernating

After I bring my computer out of hibernate mode, or even when I leave it for an extended period of time, it loses connection to the internet. I have ADSL routed through a Siemens 4 port router and I use XP Pro. I also use a firewall. I haven't been able to figure out what the problem is, does anyone have some suggestions?

Going into hibernation, or coming out of hibernation has been known to cause connections to fail. When it goes into hibernation it closes all connections. It may be that when it comes out of hibernation it doesn't look for new connections.
