OK, right now I'm on dail-up with a 56K modem. My ISP is Juno. I was wondering, can I get a 128K modem and continue using my ISP Juno. And if it's possible how fast would my downloads be? 20kb/sec? 30kb/sec?

don't know about the isp complications, but the absolute max on a 128k modem is 16kB/sec

expect anywhere between 90 and 95% of this in a real life situation, so probably colser to 15kB/s max

AND you won't be downloading any faster than you were on your 56k. Phone lines have limitations, and unless you get dsl filter and sign up for service, you aint gonna get nuttin' extra. Sorry

I don't think having the same ISP will make any difference if you have 128K modem. Try it! good luck!

I think Radio Shack has a special phone line that u can replace the one that u use for ur 56k modem now that will make it a little faster.
