Me and a friend of mine just went in on a server from Vectoral; the 'Spring Athlon'.

AMD Athlon™ 2000+
1024MB DDR-RAM
1x80+GB 7.2K RPM IDE-HDD
1x40+GB 7.2K RPM IDE-HDD
3000GB BandwidthOrdered it two days ago but the server is still 'pending'

Anyone have any idea how long it takes on average for the server to get set up?

I ordered a VFS on the 28th of august and it was ready on the 3rd. I assume the spring athalon will be pretty fast in getting setup, it should be one of there popular ones.

How much did you pay for this setup, if you don't mind me asking?

Setup is free, only have to pay for the first month of the server

Yeah for 3TB of bandwidth I couldn't find a better deal...

you have to wait until one of the people renting one cancels their contract

This is what my support ticket said -

Two days ago I ordered a 'Spring Athlon', I understand that it takes time to set up a server but someone told me that I would have to wait as long as it takes in order for someone else to cancel their subscription. Is this true? If so, how long should I be expecting to wait?

Hello,

It can take up to 14 days as its not in stock.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for any other queries you may have...

Kind regards,

So after two weeks I would expect that you'd be getting your server soon :)

14 days, ouch... hope they don't bill you this waiting time (as hosting-ie does!)

for the speed, i would say not as impressive as leaseweb unfortunatly, but good

nowadays,i've found a much better/cheaper alternative and i dumped vectoral ;)

hosting ie doesn't charge you for the waiting period .
They never charged me anyway

Yes. Please share. I'm looking for a seedbox, and if you a viable alternative to Vertoral let us know.

Read the FAQ:

Here's a quote that may be of interest to you...

"All of our servers that are in stock are provisioned, installed and setup in 24-72 hours (estimated) from the time that we confirm payment. The majority of our servers are deployed within this time frame, although depending on the configuration of the server and the current work load, the deployment may take a little longer.
If you have pre-ordered the server in question, this means we will have to order the hardware in question from our supplier and build it for you, this process can take up to 14 days and on delivery, your billing period will be adjusted accordingly."
