Would u want a 1tb Uk-t and 1tb FTN account, or $500. well which one?, and please explain why. this should be interesting. Personally I would take the cash

Daniel

lol, I'd take the cash. What would I need an uk-t account for? I'm no collector of rare items nor do I desire the small advantages of sites like FTN.

The cash ,with 500$ you could always find the samething elsewhere or you could go to newsgroup with the money and u don't have to upload though and the same releases are there also

How about this. If it was 270 TB FTN account with freeleech for life, I would still take a crisp new 20 dollar bill instead of it.

09-11-2007, 11:56 PM
lol, I guess thats that. HOW BOUT
ACCESS TO A 1GBIT SEEDBOX FOR ON YEAR OR $1000 ??

Its principle economics. You should only compare two goods if they are substitutes. Money doesn't really substitute a torrent community, so your asking a pointless question :)

But for the sake of answering your question i'd take ...50/50 :D

Oh that's not true, JA. There exist traders who are wasting money for the possibilities of gaining high level accounts or invites. While renting seedboxes is clearly less expensive than those allotted 500 dollars, the principle is the same if done with this certain intent.

As one of my cousins used to say: Money Money Money :)
Filesharing its good for being FREEE!!!!
No point wasting money (okay maybe jst a bit of a donation maybe 50 Cent, wouldnt hurt :P ) But talking of real money u better spend those at buyin some Games or Apps jst to help the producer than giving them to some greedy bastard who's selling the acc

solaris

cash of course,it can be spent elsewhere :D

For most of you, this thread is a one sided viewed thread saying of course money. What you guy's don't realize is the thread starter just made up random figures, hes actually testing your abilities.

What i've seen from most of you here is that you lack the genuine community approach which trackers like FTN and FSC approach, and are driven by lust and greed.

Many people indeed would share the same anatomy afterall we are humans, but then again money aint everything.

Moral of my little speech, you guy's have proven yourself not worthy of being part of the community and i can know understand why many sysop of tight knit communities hesitate to open up invites.

Maybe they should start doing a money or sign-up admission test :P If it wasn't that much money (500$) I would rather prefer the tracker.

With all due respect, that is complete BS. The choice of a site none of us are a part of or money, which of course is a hypothetical question, is absolutely NO measure of how community driven we would be.

IF he asked, "For a 1000 dollars, would you sell your FTN account?", or "Would you trade your FTN account if someone offered you a gigantic buffer on another site?", THEN that might show people's willingness to support a community.

Trying to accuse people of being selfish because they would choose money instead of something they:

A) Do not need
B) Have not experienced
C) Are getting along fine without

is complete crap.

You are saying that because people here, who most likely are not very wealthy as they are most likely young and most likely wouldnt be file sharing if they had a few million in the bank account, should be ashamed because they would find more usefulness in taking cash instead of some mythical torrent site which happens to get torrents 30 seconds before the sites they already have. I respectfully disagree 100%, and I think your entire contention is completely wrong.

I don't see it as such.

First of all, this own board's motto 'never pay for filesharing' is always in the back of my mind and I am very wary to compare money to rare and elite trackers.

Second, not everone desires rare trackers and that makes choosing something valuable easy when the choice is taken by excluding everything else.

Third and last, the only requirement to be worthy of membership in some communities/trackers is the willingness to play by the rules. It's for this very reason that many private sites are wary in letting new members join, the difference in opinions and priorities are a minor source of irritation.

You shouldn't worry about the users' convictions just yet because the way I see it, these fst-bittorrent-forums rather promote the biggest kind of problems, those private (elite) communities face.

Actually thats how you read into it
It was was a just a simple question money all the accounts.
The reason I took cash is the money is good,If you take the Accounts you are a trader and i never sink so low
You earn invites through community participation
JA its you that don't get it.

Getting accounts thats not yours is wrong:yup:

No tracker is worth $500. There are too many to choose from. So The cash no questions asked :D

Now someone said a 1gb Seedbox for a year or $1000... well I would be able to make money off that by renting it so I would get the box most likely. 1 gigabit is faaaaaaaaast!

In reality a lot of people trying to get these high buffered dream accounts probably lose more than $500 in the process. If you count what people pay for there super fast internet and mega seedboxes - big HDs to hold everything not to mention time. Time is Money and time spent here could have been used to work, study or even get a girlfriend.

zaa730 (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/../../members/zaa730-175018) - your posts have made me chuckle all night. I have never lost an account got banned or even had trouble keeping ratios on a cheap 5mbit ADSL line. You want to know the secret. Don't be greedy.

Buffer doesn't matter on both sites, since you have to seed what you leech. :)

Hmm....if (in FTN) there was an exclusively relaxed attitude about hit&run for me, and a reasonably immune account to bans, then I'd take the FTN (and trade the UK-T :w00t:)

$500 is overrated, most people would spend that every year with their standard ISP, and they don't get any insane UK-T or FTN accounts do they? :P

PirateEagle
09-12-2007, 10:20 AM
