well a lot of people take community into consideration too, which is why I don't use TL that much. But there are other reasons besides community that make trackers like FTN/FSC/SCT better than TL. Security springs to mind TL is pretty big and I know some people have been getting cease and desist letters.

I agree with you. I think that a good forum/community are essential to make a great tracker. You can get the files everywhere. TL is nice, but is lacking many of these features (security included, as you say)

But, need others for: decent loosless audio content (Oink, E****), non-scene/megahit movies (KG.. great site, CO, maybe HC), better game content (BC by just a bit).

Ain't a bad tracker to have if you can only have one and don't care about much other than what's mainstream and hot right now. But if you like more refined/rarer/snobbier stuff then you'd best have a couple of others to fill out your plate.

TL is classics. It's better than most of the trackers and it's a tracker, that would basically cover all your needs. But I'm already a torrentaddict, so I need something different as well, but that doesn't mean I would stop using TL - no, it'll always be one of my few favourites.

i like TL, but at the same time i have to go to other, more specific trackers for the rare stuff, like non-blockbuster movies and electronic music..

but overall, it's a very good general tracker!

tl is far away from being the best tracker for me, i barely use it..
there are only very rare occasions tl has something others dont have.
and well its also easy to keep a good ratio on sct if you use the fl-times :D

i think u should close the community so that u dont have all n00bs that keep getting in a leeching and leaving..there are people that do that and that pisses me off....i have a great ratio though....with 1 tb uploaded :D believe me i did it myself i dont trade TL anywayz its amazing i dont like account trading to begin with anywayz....

I think 2 invites should be given to those with 100-299 upload every 2 weeks, 3 for 300+, and 1 invite for all power users.
the maximum invites you should be able to have at once should be like... 6 :)
btw i'm not saying this to benefit myself (I only have ~60 gb upload)

it'll make the site harder to get in, therefore, people might also not want to risk losing their account

from my experience, tl is probably the best. anyone can use it; noobs or veterans of the scene. it has the fundamentals of being a good tracker. speed, content are evened out

since it has only scene files, i kind of doubt that. it's not exactly known for rare releases, is it?
it sometimes has german movies what i like. there was a huge discussion in the tl forum, which resulted in members posting anything negative about german releases being warned by the staff

since its so good and we have all been talking so good about it, lets just hope that they wont enforce the rule that you have to seed for 72 hours or to seed 1:1. then i would basically never use it. having a high buffer and being able to hnr (cough) makes you feel like a vip somehow.

If there wasn't any HNR I don't think it would be easy to seed there anymore.
In any case, I'm pretty sure TL is aware of the overseeding so they wouldn't make any rules for HNR.
