i recently received a warning, because my signature contained a message, that i'm looking for a certain tracker.
i'm just wondering now, because i see a lot of other members here who have a signature, that indicates what tracker they don't have or they are looking for.
are you only allowed to do this after being a member for a certain time?

It's probably after 30 days, which is when you can enter the BT Invites section.

It is like bypassing the fact you cannot access the BT Invites section yet.

It is like bypassing the fact you cannot access the BT Invites section yet.
so when i have access to the section, a sig like "i'm looking for ***" would be ok i assume.

...but remember.
Many sites value their privacy and it is against their rules that their name, url etc be put out in open forums regardless of whether it is through a post or signature bar. So, if you want to get on the right footing from the beginning, do a bit of research first on the sites that hold interest for you and then act accordingly.

That's some interesting logic you can list what your looking for after 30 days but not before.

Just don't list things like that in your sig. It's really silly and most people would think less of you for doing so I reckon ;)
What benchez says is true. I find it hard to believe that someone is going to give you an invite because you're listing it in your sig. I see people with sigs like "dreaming of FTN" or whatever and I think yah right some stranger isn't about to send you an invite.
First you get the friends.
Then you get the respect.
Then you get the invites.

I think it's perfectly fine to list what your looking for. After all you might have a friend on here who see's it and offers up an invite they have just cause they saw you were looking for it.

thanks for your answers. i will decide when i'm allowed to have it. i'm not a trader and i think there's nothing wrong with showing people what you need after you have given away something yourself.
your friends can then decide whether they want to do you a favour or not.
