i dont have any versions of nero currently on my computer.

what version should i download?

See what the latest version is on nero.com.Then download that. :)

5.5.10.42 is the newest version out but do i need the original version 5 or sometrhing or could i just download 5.5.10.42 and install it?

Most of the nero ftp sites are listed in this thread. Take a look, install whatever you like. Doesn't really matter too much which build you have, they all work OK.

carefull about getting latest versions.. they try to take out the cracked versions.

They will make new keys for nero 6. so the old onces don't work anymore, I bet there is a keygen for nero 6 the same day it will be released

u should give Roxio a go -- I prefer Roxio 2 Nero ---
