View Full Version : List of Trackers Thou Shalt Not Trade at FST

Kyl3KK

Any.... I myself do not trade, but some people do, and thats why this thread is here.

For all you people who enjoy trading I think there really should be a list on the trackers and sites you can not trade here at FST. Here's a few that come to mind, feel free to add:
Revolt
E****
FSC
FTN
SCC
TopHos
TL
TheDVDClub
NBAnd some trackers that are a plain bad idea to try to trade here even though theres no official rules against it (as in the staff pays higher then usual attention here at FST):

BitMeTV
ScT
UK-T
WB
BT Music
FTWRFeel free to add any not listed, and sorry if this breaks rules or has been posted before.

NOTE: These lists reflect the rules here at FST not the rules of the tracker itself, because as we all know, all trackers say no trading invites or accounts.

this thread is a nice idea.... but, i feel the admins here would disagree with it..... :yup:

They enjoy catching traders, eh?

Well even though I'm anti trade this thread seems like it would be very useful and trading aside, FST is a community and the members should look out for one another.

Uk-t
Is that a rule or just not a great idea?

emmm anyone can tell me how the trackers admins can catch u trading? I mean they have no evidence, have they?

Kyl3KK
09-22-2007, 10:23 PM
IP/Email/Password changes.

pofeca
09-22-2007, 10:24 PM
well its no so hard...little isp change and they are getting suspicious, they are starting looking for trades here or on any other forum and if they find anything alike with the account details-----bOOm happy birthday-----..... plus i think that they get information like IP's,emails from admins of the forums...

Vagaz
09-22-2007, 10:31 PM
ScT ain't on that list, but we don't care, you'll be caught anyway.

SgtMajor
09-22-2007, 10:31 PM
IP/Email/Password changes.

Client & browser changes also add to suspicion of account changing hands.

Kyl3KK
09-22-2007, 10:38 PM

*adds to the not really good idea list*

What I meant was trading rules *here* not at the tracker itself, every tracker would be on there if that were the case.

IP/Email/Password changes.

Client & browser changes also add to suspicion of account changing hands.

that's just gay imo!.... so by this you can get banned for switching to a diffrent browser or client???
man it's getting rediculous...

Kyl3KK
09-23-2007, 01:53 AM
Well I suppose it would have to be browser/client AND password/IP/email.

SgtMajor
09-23-2007, 02:37 AM
Exactly, emails are now coming as standard in most trades, so the tracker staff have to have more trigger points to get round the "don't change password and you have the original email" type of trade, so IP change coupled with other changes will set alarm bells ringing, and will get the account more closely audited.

09-23-2007, 09:03 AM
When we're talking about trading accs. they can maybe catch u by the change of IP/emai,etc..
But on trading invites they have no evidence, have they?
I guess this thread is about acc trading right.

So tats how oink and bitmetv get to know most of the accounts which are traded on their site.

Melvinmeow
09-23-2007, 12:56 PM
I think this thread is more about account trades.. You should name it Account trades and not Invite trades since the focus seems to be more on accounts in general.

Kyl3KK
09-23-2007, 02:15 PM
I left it at trade in general since trackers would nuke the users as soon as they signed up with a traded invite.

spark
09-23-2007, 02:30 PM

according to most people giving=trading=not wise

typically these are traders that tell me giveaways are no different than a trade though so i consider who the comment was made by and usually disreguard it.

Plain and simple no matter what anyone thinks if people assign a value to something then others will try to trade it or try to acquire it. If you want to stop the trading then stopping the rating system might be a good start.

Nope over the last year I've logged in there through 3 different countries (one of which was a proxy the other whilst on holiday) and 3 different isps in my own country.

Does this thread really have a concrete topic? I mean, isn't it against the rules of all trackers to not trade their accounts?

This is true... but as it has been mentioned before, some trackers have a deal/truce (whatever) with FST that account/invite trading is not allowed on this forum... period.

I'm thinking about one thing, If you offer to trade for example a FTN account, will fst staff give the ip or mail or something to ftn staff then so they can ban him?
I can harly think that it is this way, but I start to wonder...

No, FST doesn't hand over incriminating details. Most tracker staff have sufficient tools on their end to catch [account] traders.

Vidde
10-03-2007, 10:20 AM
Nah, we don't recieve shit :( Which I think sucks, since I want to kick all users trying to trade accounts. :p

In extreme causes I -think- they can give out IP's, if there is account hijackers, scammers and so, to protect both FST and the said tracker, but that's extremly rare.

Cheers

Lots of users seem to think that, but I dont think I've ever seen a post from a staff member saying that any sites can't be traded. Even in this thread. If there really are any such deals then there should be a sticky in the invites section.

rvt
10-03-2007, 07:51 PM
My site is at the top of the list, and I can say I never made any deals.

I think the point of this thread is not so much to say what is forbidden here, but what will bite you in the ass if you try to trade it.
