Hi people,

Anyone can tell me what's the difference of this quality video? What's the better? What's the advantage or disadvantage of each one?

Thanks for your help

It's far too complex for anyone to really give any meaningful answer here.

http://www.compression.ru/video/codec_comparison/mpeg-4_avc_h264_2006_en.html
While that's primarily a comparison of H264 codecs, there's also a comparison with Divx for reference. The links to more info about various video codecs will probably give you far more than you can cope with.

short & sweet:

h264 is the better codec over xvid, but using h264 will require u to have a better pc.

Yeah I already see that ... I try to watch the new episode of Heroes and I see better quality of h264 but I don't watch the all episode because of the breaks that I have when watching :( thanks for the answer you to lynx

Use coreavc to decode x264 and even lower end pc's should work! Get rid of that FFDshow mess, etc.
