Now, as someone who has worked all my young days, i have never experienced the greatness that is daytime tv...However as i am currently on unexpected leave and am at a loose end, i decided to switch on the tv and up came shows with titles like "lie detector my brother in law cos i think he stole my shoes!" and "you brain washed my son!"

i would just like to ask how the HECK do they find these people? Do they trawl the streets? Do they advertise??

I am muchos amused!

They trawl the Dutch Sewers..actually. which are renowned for being below sea-level and full of extremely bad taste.

Hija WeeMouse :)

Have you enjoyed the delights of "Loose Women" yet?

They usually find em queuing outside postoffices or at the local social security office

I try and organize my life in such a way that I never have to watch daytime TV.

Isn't that just a case of not turning the telly on

The tv is good background noise.

I get up about 2PM, have a wank, possibly a wash.. Then i get dressed, stick on tunes, have a couple bongs, roll some spliffs and surf the net for a bit, get into a game or actually do some work.By then its about 5 so I decide to leave the house and do some shopping and grab a chinese or summit for my dinner. Just in time for the simpsons at 6. I then sit on my fat ass safe in the knowledge that daytime tv is over and its all good from here!

I don't choose to watch daytime tv, but it's either that or do something productive...i have the right during my time off to not do anything productive!

PS loose women! Ugh.a bunch of fish-wives harping on and on about absolute shite...i prefer the chat shows that are totally random and people box each other. my one year old neice Ava thinks they're hilarious too, so it's good all-round family fun!

You should watch CBeebies.

My nephew loves deal or no deal or just about anything with clapping in it.
Theres no way in hell i'd let him watch Cbeebies, mindless garbage. I don't want him growing up to speak like the tellytots.

My neices and nephew all watch cbeebies and they are speaking brilliantly. If you leave the kids in front of a tv all day and don't talk to them, well that's when they start speaking like the teletubbies y'know?

They also love Barney. Hate that purple git. I have to sing that "i love you, you love me, we're a happy family..." song about a dozen times a day just now *sigh*

Almost makes me want to go back to work!!

No way, that would be cheating.

Tho' to be fair in Wrecks to Riches (The American one not the UK one) it's always the same two guys plus one other who are bidding against each other to buy the finished car.

The midget punchup on Springer was hilarious in a shameful way.

Yesterday they had a 21 year old gay guy who lived with a 70 year old gay guy that he wouldn't let touch him or leave the house. He also beat him up and had him make out his whole will to him. Funny shit.

What's the point of that, a 70 year old is unlikely to outlive a 21 year old anyway. Even if he does beat him up on a regular basis.

JazzyJeff
09-28-2007, 06:11 PM
Other way around  The 70 year old was the victim.
