Okay, so now I get it. I think.

Haven't been able to download any of those clips yet. But I keep trying. I'm sure they'll be fun to watch.

In the meantime, what is "Bo"? The only BO I know is 'Bo Diddley'. Are any of you American's with me on this?

Alright, then what is Selecta? Sounds foreign to me. Sounds like something you do.

Fill me in people.

'Bo' means good...I think

And im guessing 'Selecta' means selection

So 'Good Selection', like good choice, or generally good...

I think thats it, Proper Bo or Mathis will tell otherwise :D

Craig David uses Bo selecta in his song lyrics...

and this show uses Craig David as a sketch

Proper Bo
07-08-2003, 11:53 PM
Bo means to sort of "good"
Selecta is DJ (selector of music ya see?)
So Bo Selecta means sort of "well done dj or big up the dj " something along those lines
"Proper Bo, I tell thee" is a piss take out of Craig David, it's supposed to be him describing something as being really good (proper bo) and "I tell thee" is as if he has an accent from Barnsley (a small place in England) where that term is used (supposedly)
Hope that cleared some stuff up :D

Proper Bo

Hey! I finally got to download the "Bo Selecta" Micheal Jack-Ass 'Moon Walk' video. That dude really moon walks. Even I can 'moon walk'.

Very funny! I bet that the American TV networks will copy that show, tens years from now. Just like "Who's Line is it", "Changing Rooms", "Queer as Folk", "Weakest Link", Who wants to be a Millionaire?", "Big Brother", etc.... etc....

The 'spoons' must be another UK thing. Fill me in... ...again.

The only "spoon" I know is an American word that is considered derogatory. Offensively taken by the black (African American) population. Calling a person a "spoon' is almost as bad as calling them a nigger.

I'm sorry, I just fail to see the humor or meaning from the "pile of spoons", or that phrase being a favorite.

---

After doing some research, that geller guy, apparently is not famous enough to be known in America. Geller, being able to bend spoons with his mind is a wild farce too dumb for Americans to bother pondering about.

Humor that makes me laugh:
- some JackAss clips
- Most of South Park
- Few SpongeBob cartoons
- Howard Stern Radio (occasionally)
- George Carlin
- Rat Race (the movie)

Normal stuff, you know....

monkfi5h
07-11-2003, 10:17 AM
George Carlin kicks ass, especially in the Jay and Silent Bob Movies

We've probably cleared this up by now but I still like to type shit

And the whole spoon thing, have you never seen the simpsons where homer uses those language tapes (bcause he thinks they are weight loss tapes), and when he comes off them he has to ask marge what 'that thing is you use to dig ice cream with' and she replies 'a spoon?'

So you must have figurered out what a spoon is by now, if you see the Micheal Jackson clip then you'll see a bowl filled with spoons, hence 'Heres a pile of spoons'

Im Babbling :(

Why do my toes have a few hairs on them. What's that all about?. 5 hairs on a toe? What does that do? Keep it warm in the winter season?
