All encoders take a long time to encode. Just have to deal with it.

I found TMPGEnc Plus is a lot faster than the free one.
Files that took 12 hours in the free TMPG now take 45 minutes to 2 hours.

How much does TMPGEnc Plus cost? Or is there a crack?

It's available on kazaa and emule with a serial included but the serial was no good on mine. Alta vista had what I needed though.

Yes, you can convert to AVI with TMPGEnc, but personally I think RAD Video Tools (http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm) is a better program for that (as long as you don't need to actually edit the video).

lol............I had bink and smacker from radtools for about 4 months installed on my system. I forgot what I initially installed it for but I never knew it converted mpeg to avi.

Just one problem though, I doesnt find any audio codecs. have you had that prob?

Thanks

Yes I forgot about that. :( Rad Tools seems to have trouble reading mpeg audio. I guess if you want both audio and video you must use TMPGenc or EO Video (http://www.eo-video.com/) to convert.
