I have a window 98 se computer and are thinking about upgrading to xp home. Can someonec answer these questions for me?

1.what are the minimum system requirements for xp?

2. where can I get a full version working cracked copy? ( wich is the safest bet? Ie:kazaa lite, emule etc?)?

3. and if you can give me anymore info tell me plz.

also, is there any way to burn the win xp onto a cd because my win se comp dosen't have internet yet so i'm using my other one any good ways?

1.)well u need @ least 400mhz,164mbs of memory i think about 1.2 gigs of HD space mab more and u might need 2 get some new drivers if XP cant supply them

2.)i got a nice copy of kazaa it lets me update and perform a clean install in dos(+this copy lets me boot in DOS some others u cant,so u have to do it in windows)

3.)well k-lite has a nice copy thats where i got my XP pro(dont get home edition look for pro)xp pro u dont have to activate it and home is just GAY but hope u can find a good Key to get the SP1 installed as u will need to do cause then xp will have many many problemes awellz ill give u a nice key but but u better not pass it aruond to every 1 its from a purchased XP-pro cd(email me if u want it)

4.)yes just burn it like data it will work

5.)anything else like help or what ever email/PM me and i will c what i can do

so let me get this straight

1. download xp,

2. burn it to a cd,

3. boot up 98 se comp

4. put cd in drive ,

5.restart windows,

6. install,

is this right?

Keep your existing OS untill you see how XP goes. Use partition magic to make a new partition for XP and install it from windows 98 as a new/ advanced install to the second partition. This way, you have a dual boot system and time to try it out and test for bugs.
Choose the advanced options from the install window and "copy all" and " I want to choose where" .

Then you may be screwed. Hp uses proprietary drivers and hardware. It's a good bet if your system is more than a year and a half old that some things just won't work without the HP OS.

contact HP.... ask them if u can upgrade....... (and next time u by a comp, dont by 1 that is a "branded-"ready outa the box ;).......... theyre like AOL...... ez 2 use, but if u no a little bout computers, they really suck........ ready PC's r fine, as long as ur local comp store put them 2gether......)
