I got hold of CD copy of the 5000 spirits. All I need to do now is figure out how to get it on here for you to upload.

OK I might need to speak to SGG about this :ermm:

I wouldn't bother, you really don't want to enter the fst room. If you are lucky one other person will be there and it'll probably be adster or nigel, which sort of cancels out the luck part.

Now I think about it I can't remember if it was BD or 100% that wanted the album

Is it freeware? I don't think my last vestiges of credibility could take buying another package :ermm:

Yes, it's completley free. (check out the link. It's nice and simple.)

Well I am giving it a go. SGG has shown me how to turn it into MP3s. So I am apparently ripping my CD at the moment

Ta muchly

I now have the album in "recently added" in Windows Media Player and I have installed that Allpeers chap. Now what?

You should burn it onto a cd, then send it by post, while pished.

Check the guide section of the forum, it's somewhere near the top I think. There must be a full explanation in there, pished scotsmen sending things by post is bigger than bittorrent.

I could just burn a CD and attach it to a random pigeon like :dabs:

I give up, there's nothing worse than trying to teach an old bugger about new stuff. You'll be asking about stamps next and where to rent the transformers movie on betamax.

Hummmph!

I have the software BD recommended and I have ripped the CD (see how the terminology rolls of the tongue) but as far as I can see I need BD's Allpeers name to complete the job. There is probably not much point putting this CD onto the torrent thingies as I doubt there is much demand for a piece of 1967 nostalgia.

It comes up "Share (5000 spirits) failed" Any hints?

Sod it - going to bed. Will figure it out tomorrow

BD

Tried again and this allpeers thing still mucked me about so I thought I would re-install it. Was just about to hit the install button and it went all like NO WAI! I am uploading. So I looked at transfers and it was uploading files (one of them to a rather remarkable 125% or thereabouts). I confess this thing is confusing the hell out of me. Have you received any of this album and if so what?

I read through that and .....

However, BD really wanted this album it is fairly obscure and I was content to send it by his preferred method. It just isn't as easy as it says on the tin. It is not clear to me if any of the album has gone despite the upload doo dah working away

:idunno:

It was all much easier when we just daubed a few hand prints on a cave wall.

I should add that I still do daub hand prints on cave walls if anyone is interested.

I don't have an MSN thingy nor do I know what a *.rar is although SGG appears to have infested the computer with the things. :idunno:

I am more than happy to send BD the album whichever way works. On paper this Firefox extension looks like a piece of piss but it is slippier than it first appears.
