heh, this happered to me last week...
I d/led a trojan program out of courosity, scaned it, was safe...
Made one, then casue im so dumb... i tested it ...
heh, it deleted my regedit, msconfig, and other files and uploaded all this stuff to the web site i had entered (like a keylogger?)...
had to format comp, and reinstall windows... lol...
had to close the ftp site incase some luck person found it ;)

I had fun waiting 4 hours for it to format and reinstall... few error messages, thoughts of all the files i d/led off kazaa gorn... (dont got cd burned >< & cbf finding a web host that could host 20 gigs of movies and mp3s...).
well that was fun :)

So, had you got this trojan working, what would you have done with it then?
IMHO, you got everything you deserved

I've been using Norton Ghost (http://www.symantec.com/sabu/ghost/ghost_personal/) for some years now, to make an image of the partition where the OS is.
Takes about 10 minutes to have clean install of OS.
;)

i dont get why you bothered scanning the trojan in the first place? but what is more worrying is how the hell did you delete regedit and msconfig. generally trojans give you remote access not delete stuff.

Im thinking you downloaded a virus instead. at least use sub 7 like everyone else if you are curious.
