I got the monitor.....looks great. But the black and gray lines are still there so now I'm thinkin that its the video card. Whats a good replacement for a Nvidia Riva TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro?

Relatively cheap as well too please...... :D

I don't play any games so it doesn't have to be very snazzy.

If you are in the market for a upgrade from what you have for normal pc use perhaps looking at the ATi's 7000 - 7500 64MB cards or Nvidia Geforce 4 440MX 64MB cards. Either one of those are a upgrade from what you have and run anywhere from $35 - $45 (US). Check out Pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com) under video cards.

You did say you are not a gamer so I think those will do. Should you decide to become a gamer, a higher grade would be in the mist. Check out the Pinned link above with a list of places to shop in the US/UK areas.

i recommend the gf4 mx440. i have it and it work great. i play some games and its not too bad. i can play bf1942 at medium setting on 1024x768. not bad for a card under 50 buck
