Yes, AVG sucks! and I say that as a user who depended on them for 5 or 6 years. I finally got fed up and uninstalled their crap and downloaded "bitdefender 10 free". If you have been using AVG for a while and you let your PC run over night AVG may have tagged all your keygens as trojans and quarantined them, it will not tell you what it has done it will hope you don't notice and after 30 days delete them.

About 3 months ago something happened at Grisoft, either a moron took over the company or they fired all the good employees and hired morons to save money. Either way AVG today is not worth the cost of the disk space it takes up.

If AVG has been tagging your keygens as trojans don't beleive them until you double check with another program or an actual trojan finder like A-Squared Free. None the less you should uninstall them imediately and get something else, if you paid for it you got screwed.

Try uninstalling completely and re-installing after a reboot.
If the problem is still there, get rid of AVG and try Avast! or BitDefender free versions.
If you're willing to purchase (or maybe get around paying) go for NOD32 or Kaspersky Internet Security.

Great advice as always ol Chew, but maybe he should try Kaspersky Antivirus 7 instead of KIS . Too many blacklisted keys for my liking .

Oh course help is a PM away right ? :yup:

I switched to bitdefender and was a little bewildered at first, its alot different than avg. When I ran avg, I had it set to scan every night at 3 am and day after day everything was clean, then about 3 months ago, over night, it found 5 keys by ZWT and like an idiot I deleted them. A few days later all the DVT keys I had were tageted then NEO and BRD and NoPE keys all a few days apart. I got tired of pass protecting all the keys so it couldn't find them and all were rescanned with A-Squared and found to be clean, And believe me A-Squared finds alot of stuff thats not dangerous. So I finally gave Grisoft the boot along with a nasty e-mail to sales.

Looking for posts on their forum is useless, if a post says anything bad about avg short of bugs, its deleted. I tryed getting answers there about why it was tagging files as trojans when they were clean (I didn't even mention the word keygen, just files) and all my posts were deleted.
