This should allow some of you with invites to finally invite those friends of yours that you believe to deserve a place here at SceneTorrents.

You will not get banned for inviting a leecher, as we appreciate it is their fauf they leech, not yours.
However we do punish users who invite cheaters, but we like to think that's quite obvious.

Only 998 spaces left since I've typed this, something makes me think we'll reach 16k easily

i was one of the first 300 -500 users to get on FTN, i lost the account due to inactivity, then got invited back from a former staff member.

Well your Kaula Lampur Datacenter has done some upgrades since the under sea earthquake several months back and FSCs loading time has gotten ALOT better.

You know, there are ~20k invites out there from when they were handed out when the user imit was increased from 12k to 15k ;) There is no need for more invites.

Please read that post kim, you misunderstood me I think.

Both sites are great. If someone was to ask me, "FTN or SCT?" I'd reply with both. Why? They both have things the other doesn't. Two completely opposite sites, both with great potential and both with their benefits. I have nothing against sct, I was once a staff member there also if you remember. If anything, SCT is anti Brandon.

The fact that there's 26,500+ invites still in the system and less than 1000 spaces doesn't suggest ScT should give older users a chance to use their invites first?

It's a struggle getting decent users to use their invites at the moment anyway.

Because so many invites were dished out (basically to users who either don't have many friends or just don't care to use their invites), now newer users from within the past 6 months to a year have to resort to buying invites in order to invite family members, close friends, etc.

I just think the invite system needs a little tweaking is all. Obviously they are happy with the way things are but I just wanted to voice my opinion no matter how insignificant it may be.

you can buy invites, or wait till they feel like giving them out.
i know people who still have 7 invites and didn't buy one, if that helps.
but i wouldn't count on getting one for free.

older users have tons of invites available. Vidde for example who is a member since the beggining , over 2 years ago said himself he gave 12 invites , without paying. So just find a friend and earn an invite instead of crying they ask money for invites :shutup:

As dragos has said.There are many old users with invites.I am another of them :P And I have have invited 7 trustworthy people.That I know from other Sites and have known them all for over a year at least... :P And still have a few invites left.
