Slow Playing Movies

I have a slow pc which only has a pentium 200megahertz processor.
When I play most movies i get slow and choppy playback ,
has anybody got any ideas how i can overcome this problem apart from getting a decent pc???

right click your desktop, properties and select settings and set your colour from 32-bit to 16-bit, this should speed up your pc altogether because I used to have the same problem and also close all non-vital programs before you watch the file, ESPECIALLY Kazaa.
