Utorrent not connectable with Vista

Sorry if this topic has already been answered and if so please just drop a link. Right now I'm running Vista Ultimate and I'm having issues getting connectible. I have no issues with Speed for Downloading or uploading I'm hitting my caps but I would like to be connectible.

Can anyone help ?

what firewall are you using?

if windows firewall then simply
clik the win security alerts icon in taskbar,
in the pop up on the left clik windows firewall
change settings
exceptions
mark utorrent (and maybe add port)

its nothing to do with windows vista unless its to do with the firewall. i switched from xp to vista ultimate with no connectivity issues in utorrent. you need to set up an internal static ip if your using a router forward ports in the router and allow in the firewall just like in xp

I didn't have to forward any port in xp but I think I have to now seeing I have the Speadstream router. How do I go about forwarding these ports?

It's a router issue, I'm running Vista Ultimate and UTorrent fine.
