View Full Version : A couple of days ago there was a tragic...
...incident in a small town about 80 miles south of where I live, actually quite horrific:

I wondered what in good Christ compelled these people to give this kid a badge and gun (he was 19 when he was hired), and then have him serve as a full-time Sheriff's deputy while also working as a part-time village officer in Crandon, where this occurred.
Today, I read this - note the headline, and read the fourth and fifth paragraphs:

Un-fucking-believable.

I keep thinking about these mass murderers. They get the order wrong. Shoot themselves 1st, then....

Must have been a very fast repeating gun if he manged to shoot himself three times in the head.

I was reading about this yesterday. Apparently, there is no psychological testing of police officers in Wisconsin, before they are hired.
Tragic.

yeah, after all going through a 2 day waiting period is way harder than becoming a police officer.

Both are equally absurd. I would like to think that becoming a "peace" officer involves more than filling out an application.
Btw, Due to the typo in the thread title...I thought Dave went on a rampage.

To speak "generally" about this subject (or any other, actually) is intellectually lazy, and indicates a willingness to accept and foment the inaccuracy of such statements.
Put simply, it is stupid. :whistling
