I like it 'couse it's more original and fun to watch than most of this american crap.

And yep. It's kind of anime show, but he gave you a really bad advice. To understand ANYTHING from EoE you'll need to watch Neon Genesis Evangelion. Try it - it's one of the best you could see. And then, if you don't like it you can give your opinion. :)

.hack//Sign is the best one. I must say Yuki Kajiura is really good at making music. Fake Wings, In the Land of Twilight Under the Moon, Key of the Twilight, The World simply make you fly. :)
