The big blockbusters,
are you waiting for a DVDRip or you going to get a TS, TC, CAM, R5 etc.?

If yes, how about first watch experience vs quality?

I never get cams or screeners. Any movie worth seeing is worth waiting for a good rip.

ditto here.

My preferred dl is a full DVD not only because the quality is top-notch; but I also need the language options when our non-english speaking family/guests come by to visit.

I never download CAMs. TS's rarely. TCs or R5's I'll likely get but it depends on the movie. Most movies dvdrips are fine and others I'll wait for 720p :D

Heck, I never even download standard xvids. I either download a DVD-R so I can watch it properly on the TV, or I download a 720p version.

Tokeman

I'll get TC or r5 if the audio and video is clear and clean. For intensive action flicks with lots of detail I usually end up waiting for dvdr.

Retards is right:angry::angry:

I think they presume that because they decide to do us a big favour and convert it to a full dvd that it somehow magically became a DVD.

I wonder if they believe in the tooth fairy also:D

I think the cam -> dvdr came about because people wanted to play the cam's on their dvd players, instead of their computer.
A waste of space if you ask me, but hey, there the reason.

R5 is the lowest I will go but only if the audio is not a line source. Prefer DVD then DVDrip

Grind$oFine
10-12-2007, 09:29 PM
I can't even watch cams or anything lower quality than the DVDrip, I only get to watch my movies early if theres a good screener out. :(

Or I have to PAY and go to the theatre!

Obviously, but when uploaded in a DVDR section without a hint of the shit quality in the title, they should be shot.

R5 or better and occasionally a screener if my girlfriend bugs me enough.

always dvdr, if theres a rip that usually means the real deal will be out soon anyways and i hate all cams, for some reason i get really mad at the fat bitch that always has to stand up and block the view right when a good part is happening.

Long time ago I made the mistake of watching CAMs, but I leardned my lesson fast. Even with the best movie your chances are good not to lke it. Quality is important.
Good quality dvdrips are most welcome. And if I like a movie probably a dvdr. But if I really like it I consider buying it.

briand5379
10-13-2007, 11:48 AM
I usually do R5 or 9 sometimes rips. Very seldom will I do any of the crap quality things all though sometimes I'll downloaded them just to seed them as other people will download them.

i always check vcdquality

some of the lower quality releases arent all that bad sometimes

but usually ill just wait for the dvdrip (although by then ill have probably seen it in theaters lol)

I've been messing with some cams lately. If its a movie with not too much action or special effects I can put up with a TS and the odd cam.

I love xvids with my divx player. I really dont see a quality difference between xvid and dvdr.

KFlint
10-14-2007, 03:25 AM
i almost only watch dvdr or wmv-hd content (the only hd format i can play on xbox360 media center damnit!)

sometimes i get my hands on R5 release, quality isn't so bad

but divx stuff for movies, especially with a big tv, no way!

I disagree, I find if the group does a good job or has decent equipment, TCs/DVDScreeners can be just as good as DVDRips.

If anyone remembers The Island TC by Asteroids you will know what I mean with the TC being of higher quality than the DVDRip.

Although its not often that high quality TC's come out (all TCs have become even more rare ever since the advent of R5s), but when they do, its hard to see a difference between the two, except maybe the audio streams.

TSs on the other hand arn't that crash hot, although they are great for grabbing line audio for R5 releases, there are occasionally the decent one, but alot are either misslabeled cams or stolen vid with line audio.

Anywho off to watch SGA.
