I was looking to set one up, just something that could get me up to like 400kbps upload.
looking to spend no set up fee (just gonna have for like 2 months) and pay around 30usd monthly

I was looking at this:

http://order.1and1.com/xml/order/VpsRoot;jsessionid=5FC3B9B4B32FF9984EA334926EB7865E.TC61b?__frame=_top&__lf=Static
would vps 1 work with torrent flux. And im fine with those disk/bandwidth limits.

also if I sign up for a seedbox and give them all my info do I run a high risk of being caught for file sharing?

I would almost rather give someone 30 usd a month to help cover part of the expenses for their better seedbox. anyone interested in that?

yeah, if you go with 1and1, they will notice the torrentflux pretty quick

oh ok, I think my best option is to share. theres got to be someone out there that doesnt use all their bandwidth and could use a little extra cash in their paypal.

Because they're cheap. They're virutal machines carved out of a single, real set of hardware. With a dedicated server, the host company leases out one machine to one person. With a VPS, then can divy out the same machine to three or four people.

Let's say you max out of the 100mbit with your 4.7gb DVDR. Who will suffer? :)

1&1 really doesn't monitor a VPS seedbox. I've used them for almost 4 months, and have yet to have a problem! The only thing that I regret about this purchase is the limit on bandwidth which is currently 2TB on the VPS system. For the cost, 1&1 is worth it ;), I got 3 months free and am paying $50 a month for a 40GB Hdd that I currently use.

I've just recently purchased a server with a different company that can offer me more space and bandwidth....which is what I'm really looking for.
