He then went mental and created about 30 useless threads saying how sorry he was

I agree. If he was circumventing a ban, then by all means- ban him. However, if he was just a troll; then he must be let loose.

It's the right thing to do.

Banning someone for creating new accounts which supposedly circumvent a ban that was in actual fact voluntary is insane

Even if he is a prick.

Sextent
10-18-2007, 11:31 AM
If it's voluntary it's more a request that the account be deleted than a ban. Albeit he presumably did use the word "ban".

Bearing in mind that English isn't everyone's main language. Including those who don't speak another one.

Didn't you read? I banned the first new account before I knew it was killer23. That took a bit of searching to uncover.

mrmystery had 152 posts of straight flaming. Not for comedic purposes, but just to be a disruptive idiot. No one wants to read that blather and it has no place on the forum. 25 of those were outside the Lounge as well, so he's flaming and name calling at will all over the board.

I initially had him confused with the o.wnster idiots as the posting style was exactly the same.

Maybe it's just me but I've noticed that in the last 2 weeks I've not really felt like posting in the lounge due to the useless posts that have been floating about, It's definatly been shite anyway and if banning a few shites helps then it's all good.

So, you initially banned him, because he had a "similar" posting style...as another banned member? You're treading dangerous waters, Skizo. imho

Yes, his posting style was the same as another member who was banned for incessant flaming. There's no difference there.

152 posts (under that account alone) of nothing but flaming and trying to cause disorder has nothing to do anything and isn't to be allowed on the board.

Members complain, reports get made, etc...

There was more than one reason to ban the guy, but the above was sufficient enough.

Much as that's genious and it most certainly is, the beginning makes no sence. If the Universe consists of only you an a bed, fair enough you may move away from each other, Newton's laws and so forth. You may push the bed, exerting an equal force on both of you. You would then ask which is moving away from the other. Let's not get into which would move faster, it's meaningless in a 2 body Universe. Fair enough.

However with a Sun, no way are you pushing that, it's mad talk. So there is no feasible way for you to move away from it, or vice versa, you would move towards it.

Back to reading para II.

Have you heard of georges perec? The guy without an E!

http://www.kirjasto.sci.fi/perec.htm

''Experimenting with the lipogram - a text which one or more letters of the alphabet may not appear - Perec produced La Disparition (1969, A Void, translated by Gilbert Adair), a 200-page detective novel (in some sources 311-page novel), in which the central puzzle deals with the disappearance of the efrom the alphabet. (But the letter appears outside the main text.) Perec's translator, Gilbert Adair, managed to replicate the feat in English, although the pioneering work is Ernest Vincent Wright Gads, a novel with over 50000 words, written in English without the letter E.''

Now that's an amazing show of charm and skill. His book did accomplish, and not contain a solitary showing of what I said was missing...Christ writing this is hard to begin with
