This is both a new thread and a partial answer to thompy's "cd-rw problem".
The help file in Daemon tools says if you have ever installed "Roxio easy CD" on your system you can't install Daemon tools(maybe its Roxio causing the problem in his case). The only way I think it would be possible is if you imaged and then went back. But anyway I haven't seen any pinned or any threads about this so far. Not about "Roxio easy CD" but about the subject of no going back in general. Installing things that will change your system in such a way as to make it impossible to install other things because of the conflicts.
