Adobe Photoshop 7.0

Ok :D
here's the deal
I have Photoshop 7 and want to use the upgrade prog to 7.1.
Now, it says that it won't work unless you have the retail version and I have the educational version.
Is there a way?

Btw, I got tired of seeing that it was the educational ver. so I deleted (hehehe) the bitmap that puts "Educational Version" on the splash screen.
Now it looks like the retail ver.

Weird enuf, I have the exact problem. But mine is an ISO I bought from a pirate store :lol: . It doesn't seem to be educational version, just AP7.0...

But when I try upgrading it, it says it can't find "Adobe Photoshop 7.0" and reinstall to try again. I couldn't be bothered because I just installed 7.0 5mins before I tried upgrading it to 7.1

Troubleshoot Anyone?

Does anyone know if there are plans for Photoshop 8?

I think it won't take too long for someone to come up with an activation crack.
Adobe will never lower the price enough for the average guy to want to buy.
Drew McManus, director of Adobe's anti-piracy efforts, says "We know that Photoshop is among the most pirated software that's out there" and as long as the price stays around $600.00 it will continue to be!

Well, most people who have pirated Photoshop could just as easily use a lesser program to do their little pictures. ;) Adobe makes its money from the business licensing. But if they make it, it'll be broken. Might just be a little annoying.

it will only upgrade to 7.01 if you get the update crack
from your favourite crack site. it now works fine for me.

7.1 was prob an update to shutdown pirated copies... all software companys pull that crap once in awhile lol
