I read this short story years ago and I thought it would make a good movie. I'm such a fan of Stephen King books.
The story creeped me out.

Following a violent thunderstorm, artist David Drayton and a small town community come under vicious attack from creatures prowling in a thick and unnatural mist. Local rumors point to an experiment called the 'The Arrowhead Project' conducted at a nearby top-secret military base, but questions as to the origins of the deadly vapor are secondary to the group's overall chances for survival. Retreating to a local supermarket, Drayton and the survivors must face-off against each other before taking a united stand against an enemy they cannot even see.

What the protagonist isn't a writer?

I read the story over 10 years ago, and thought it was alright. But they're going to have to really stretch it to make it into a +90min movie.

it is a good story but they'll probably mess it up like they do to all of Stephen King's work.

I bought the book yesterday and Stephen King rewrote it for the movie. The book now has 236 pages.
From what I have read, Mr King kept the original idea of the 1st book, just expanded on the characters, the military base and made a better ending.

I always find his movies strange and the endings are quite weird as well

It's by the same director as Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile,if it's half as good as them it'll be excellent.

There looks to be a lot of creepy crawlies in this one, and since I've always been a fan of Stephen King I'll be keeping my eye out for it. :)

I just Mist...it was a very good movie and followed the book all up to the ending, which I was disappointed in.

Thought it was a cheap knock off of "The Fog" until I saw it was a King book. Looking forward to it.

Seek for Stuffies - release (CAM-version) The Mist CAM XVID - Stuffies

...on either Bitsoup or TL. It is enjoyable! Stuffies is a magician - he improves the quality of the original CAM-release. He 's done it to Hitman and several other movies.
It's a good scary movie, BTW.:naughty:

Saw it a while back, I actually liked it. The acting in this one is top notch, that crazy Christian lady acted so damn well. If anything, go for the acting. The story is a bit bland, but the ending is good.

Some people will say the ending suck, but I like the twist. Saw it coming a mile away too lol
