Just to confirm, I was wondering if my account will not be dead as long as i have a torrent in my client seeding/even paused or need i log into the account itself to keep the account alive?

you need to dl/ul and login at scc. but maybe you should tell us what site you are talking about.

For instance, if we clear the cookies/log out, the site no longer have us logged in. But still seeding is fine. BUt there are few sites where we have to be logged in so as to connect to peers. But hardly few like fileporn, filelist, etc...

My question is, Is my account alive as long as i seed a torrent continuously without manually logging into the tracker?

depends on the site... but except SCC i think it is ok!

depends!

some site require you to log in within specific period of time. Other's require you to have torrent activity within certain time interval. But as for most, if you donate or have rank higher than user (PU, elite etc)...your account is be safe.

Can i have a bump here ?lol

Any tracker staff who can give a better explanation not pertaining to a single tracker, but with the majority of trackers?

Login is enough for most trackers, then the days of inactivity range...

But if your inactive for a period longer than 4 weeks, and do have access to a computer, i think you should just delacct.php and let someone else take your spot since your not really using the tracker, and are keeping it for the sake of keeping it...

probably not always the case. I'm in numerous trackers. Most active in atleast 100. Most are crap but always i need all of them for my needs. So i don't want to lose any, and always i try to download stuff from all of them to be safe. That's why i put this question, i'm not a collector.

Just one question now, lol

Will my torrents stop seeding when my account is inactive for a specified period, say 4 weeks?

Here's a suggestion, since the replies received tend to clump in the *depends on the tracker* category..... Why not just pm a Mod on the tracker in question and get it directly from the source. It is a completely legitimate question, and one that should not raise eyebrows! If one site manages this differently than the other you would not have to worry as you would know how to approach the dl/ul/log-in question for each community that you have questions about.
