Come join the old "filesharingtalk.com" room on Soulseek.

Chat, share files, whatever. Let the river flow...

If you need it, there is a Soulseek Guide (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-file-sharing-8/t-soulseek-guide-67507).

yep I currently have 27k files shared

the great thing about soulseek is you can chat to people you download off not just an IP your downloading from like BT

some may complain about speeds but less then a day for a album to get a album for free??? you have problems if you cant wait that long!!!

hope we see many people in there now :)

really good idea :) From me I would just add, come and register at new music tracker www.nwtracker.org/signup.php (http://www.nwtracker.org/signup.php) ;]

"Let the river flow - fuck IFPI & BPI" The what you called "piracy" will always exist as long as there is a need for it. It also concerns drugs, prostitution and such. You can never fight a problem by shortening the supply because the core of the problem is based on DEMAND.

Right-click on the room listing and refresh it. Give it a minute or so to refresh, then organize by room name. :)

Adster

another way and easy way to do it without freshing is right click create room and put in

*FileSharingTalk.com

then your in the room

I got it all set up, but I download and talk on my laptop, but quickly transfer all my music over to my desktop computer to store, so can I be connected on both computers so that I can share my music?

First time i've used soulseek and the room isn't there for me either. I tried typing in filesharingtalk.com but just ended up in an empty room. Is it still working for anyone else?

I'm in...I've been meaning to use soulseek for ages just need a bit of prompting. Looks like there's some good rooms but I've yet to see any files, I guess I've got to make some friends in there...I'll definitely be getting to know it better as I need a good source of user rips. Hope to see you all in the FST room if we all use it we could have one hell of a collection of music.

..Afraid so..and more ..

ebooks, and some applications not a lot of films..and of course no BiTorrents ;) (hurray j/k) lol

In fact Quality music is what you download and share...on SoulSeek.. One of the main sources of many an (ex)Oink member... so please bit-rate 192 and above.. flac and wav are prefered... after all who hasn't got at least Broadband these days. :)

Funkytorrents has a quite a few, and I read elsewhere that quite a few ex Oink users have joined so expect a lot more to appear.

this might be good alternative...

http://www.libble.com

not a scam site or any such (similar indeed) coz it's also mentioned in OiNK's memorial blog.

btw, i might try soulseek by tomorrow ;)

So i finally figured out wtf was wrong with my soulseek. I had version 157 which uses a different server from older versions. I installed version 156 and now i can see more rooms and way more users (max went up from ~30 people to ~600!). I still can't see the fst room though :(

Edit: Yes i can lol, i highly suggest the people that are having problems finding the room install version 156 instead of 157 :D

I've heard Libble is the Oink alternative however it's invite only and getting invites isn't that easy from what I've seen.
