Ok i just made an acc and hope it will be a worthy tracker content-wise. I'm not very impressed by the layout, the banner is nice tho. Maybe its just my oppinion...
But you must change the background color to something else, cos now with that saturated blue and the black text, its kinda hard to read :huh: Just a suggestion, good luck ;)

The "next biggest music tracker" is not gonna be scene and everyone should be able to upload.
Not everyone is looking for new releases, there's tons of sites you can find them, but there is no reliable source for 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, early 00's albums anymore. THAT is what needs to be made...

If you want to build up something like OiNK, you have to follow certain rules, AND, you have to be more than just 3-5 guys. All of you "trying to be the next OiNK", it's not going to happen. What you can do is, start a new thread and get together A LOT of people who knows how to build a tracker/knows how to code and stuff like that.

Not guys who wanna be in it just to go with the flow. I'm talking people with experience and know-how. Shut down all the small trackers (wannabe next-oink), get together, come up with a really good name and rules similar to OiNK, where everyone can upload high-quality albums ripped in EAC in Windows with log and all that stuff. If you rip in MAC, I don't know what to use. But no Winamp rip-shit program, I mean the real deal that you could find on OiNK.

This is how I would start. You need a lot of preparation and get the rules straight, not just create a mediocre tracker in one day.
I'm not saying this one is crap, but think about it. If you do a great job in the beginning, you will have A LOT of users. This can all happen fast if you just do it right.

I really don't expect you to be something like OiNK, but they had a goal and strict rules, which helps a lot. Unfortunately, I have zero experince in building a tracker, otherwise I would be happy to help.

I'm just saying, there are 3-4 new, so called "OiNK" tracker today, tomorrow there is ten of them, plus a lot of musictrackers that already exists. People don't know where to go.

I don't know how many of you are working with TheMusik, but the more the better (especially if you got people with experience and know how. One guy with experience will not be enough, but it's definitely a good start.

If you say you're offering something like OiNK where everyone can upload, people will go there and the word will be spread.

browse pages should be like every other tracker and by the number of torrents on that page should show instead of just goin 1, 2, 3 etc.....other than that it looks good, you also need more stylesheets eventually but it looks decent at the moment and not a huge deal since the most important thing is the users and content.

TheMusik, how many members and torrents? I know you just started but what about "Waffles.fm", "What.cd" and "Boink" ? Which one is the biggest one, users and torrents? Which one is most similar to OiNK?

I want it to be as close to OiNK as possible. I haven't had time to see which one is the "next OiNK". Just in a couple of days, there are Waffles.fm, What.cd and Boink. Which one is the most serious? I know Boink is public, so it's worthless, really. Sure they can upload a huge amount of torrents, but who will seed them? It wouldn't survive a week imo.

I don't know about you guys but I love this tracker!

There are many new uploads everyday(Including some of mine).

I personally would get into this tracker while you can.And always remember that every tracker starts somewhere.I can see this tracker doing VERY well in the future.

Last time i posted about the site was a while ago, since then site has changed so i though perhaps i would say something again....

Considering the fact that there wasn't much hype, The Musik is doing pretty good job.

As you get in the Browse section, the first thing you might (actually, will) notice is scene release. When i first saw it i though they had bot like ST...but amuses me that it's a human :D.

Beside that, the forum has been pretty active from day one. Some of the established tracker don't even have that much forum activity.

And, one more thing, i always have been attracted towards buy a vip status (not by donating but by site activity), @ The Musik you can buy VIP status for one month via karma points...karma points are pretty easy to earn though.

I wish The Musik best of luck!
