KAZAA LITE 2.4.0 BLOCKING

I see that the new KaZaA Lite 2.4.0 can block the RIAA and other orginizations.
I just recently updated to KaZaA Lite 2.4.0.

- Is there something I have to do to activate the blocking tool?
- And will KaZaA Lite notify me as soon as it blocks someone?

I don't know if it's working or not, so that's why I'm still using PeerGuardian at
the same time using KaZaA Lite, just in case.

Can anyone help?

Thanks...

I just imported my Guarding p2p folder into the Kazaa block list so , in theory at least, I'm blocking the same IPs as PeerGuardian.
One must just have faith, I guess.

add your own list to: C:\Program Files\Kazaa Lite\BannedIPs\BannedIpRanges

I read somewhere else on the forum that:

the new blocker is better than peerguardian because:
peerguardian checks only tcp connections every 400ms so there is still the possibility of riaa getting info from your comp
the new blocker checks as the connection is being made and checks all connections ie udp as well (I personally thought kazaa only used tcp)

Thats what someone said, i can't remember where and it might just be hearsay.

or you just copy your Gaurding.P2P and paste it to C:\Program Files\Kazaa Lite\BannedIPs\ or C:\Program Files\Kazaa K++\BannedIPs\ then just rename it to BannedIpRanges.txt

seems like it's messing up the connections for alot of people

That happens because K++ blocks TCP and UDP traffic, and not only TCP traffic. PG only blocks TCP traffic.

is there anyway that we can check if kazaa 2.4 blocks the ip?
