"Noah, one of our admins, has decided to leave what.cd for privacy reasons. We couldn't have made this site without him, and running it is going to be a hell of a lot harder now that he's gone."

shouldn't he have known what he was getting into? :O

Yea, that seemed a little goofy but whatever.

Seems all set up - the more I think about it, the more it stinks. Anyway, site is good.

Well, quite a few people over at ohax were making a lot of comments about him only being 14 years old. Maybe this had something to do with him "stepping down"?

I bet they need a better admin which is good at php now...so tat they can perfectionate the coding to add more features etc.

It's rather because of the the fact his name and address have been disclosed

BY HIM!

He was stupid enough to use his real info in the registration for the sites domain! Didn't even use one registrars that let you hide your info!

No offense meant but that's really n00bish.

ding...ding...ding warning bells anyone. How can you trust a site that has a 14 year old admin who registers the domain in his own name. Do you really think the coding is up to scratch or your IP/passwords/e-mail are safe...the easy answer is no.

You dont need to trust it. Just use a different username and pass (and email if you like) than you do everywhere else, if you are worried.

of course...I would do that anyway but I don't feel like having my IP addy broadcast to the world.

But do what you like, all i am saying is might be an idea to sit back and watch. There's a million invites out there not like you need to beg, why rush in?

Why would they broadcast it to the world? There may be a load of incompetent and unscrupulous people out there starting sites (which is why I agree use a different username/pass) but what would be possibly be gained by publically broadcasting "we have a user called xyz and his ip is .......!" ?
