I must say I was skeptical about STMusic, but I've downloaded a great deal of music there while waiting for more OiNK-like sites to show up.
Then again, I've downloaded a lot of music EVERYWHERE waiting for a more OiNK-like site to show up..
But really, STMusic has definitely improved lately. :yup:

yeah i've been waiting and comparing at first softmp3 vs stmusic, but softmp3 isn't growing and isn't english. Stmusic is growing about 1300 new torrents a day and about 900 new users.

What you have to consider is that none of these sites will be the "new oink".

As far as stmusic is concerned I have been there since it started as a by-product of Supertorrents and as an established site it is your best bet for a long term future. Don't get dragged into the hype of some of these newer sites.

I like the way they have a separate user torrents section. Scenereleases are good for speed but for quality I'd go for user-releases anyday.

I had both accounts and I preffered stmusic more than oink.
Oink could be considered like music demonoid.
And stmusic "was" a scene only tracker.

So finish the discussion about oink.
Oink wasn't so good because was the hardest tracker to seed. And stmusic have better speeds.

i love the seed bonus. At oink you could seed for a whole month and not improve your ratio, here its a bit easier. Its not alot but its decent.

SE music is a pretty solid site since day one and even before oink whent down they were putting a lot of work in the archives I was a member of Oink as well and both sites have there pros and cons

wait till they open invites. i see people asking for invites everywhere. even in small german forums that have nothing to do with bittorrent.
all the hype with oink being shutdown and replacements will even attract more users to bt music sites

those two sites will explode during the next weeks.

remember what i wrote when one of them has more members than stmusic.

i will use everyone of them including stmusic, cause usually the stuff i listen to is far from mainstream and very hard to find.

Without an old community like STMusic has as a foundation, it'll never succeed in getting users to upload and commit.

STMusic has become a great tracker. And it's pretty easy to maintain a good ratio there due to the bonus system. Better then what.cd at the moment.

Waffles:
Users: 9,976
Torrents: 37,529

I'm a member of all three sites, with a ratio above 10 on each already. You're a member of what, STMusic? Probably trying to keep a steady 1.5 ratio. My point is, members at these new sites are trying extremely hard to get them off the ground, and your thinking that since your precious STMusic has finally hit 30k torrents it's somehow better than the little guys that'll obviously come out on top is just selfish.

Stats are deceiving... just cause they're xxxx amount of torrents doesn't mean that actual leeching is happening. What it does mean is that the selection is growing.

as its been stated above me, waffles has 5x less members and more torrents already in a very short amount of time and a lot of seeders/leechers because of freeleech. like i said a while back, waffles will be the replacement for oink, go check my past posts and next time dont doubt the mac daddy pimp that is AYSOMC. :)
