Blackcats site question

I registered properly and received the confirmation email, but when I try to login, it says "login failed". I also tried to recover my password, but it states the email address is not in their database.


I assume they got nailed with open registration that the site must be having problems?

Very likely. Server overloads at registration sites such as the one their experiencing today can cause a whole range of side-effects and if you get through all of the steps necessary, you can feel lucky.

I had problems today too, keep trying to log in, wait until tomorrow if nothing changes, then try again. If it still doesn't help, go to their IRC.

The important thing is that you signed up.

My cookies are enabled, I reset everthing to default.

As for going to their IRC, I tried that but it seems you need to be logged in to do that and I can't log in :(

It might help if they said what "Error 1" was.

since they have open sign-ups today... it makes sense that they are probally getting flooded with new accounts... as was stated previously use the irc.. i'm sure they'll get straightend out

yeah, for some reason I'm not even receiving the confirmation email. It seems to happen with some trackers and my email, i'm not sure why. It sucks though.

Yep I get the login error 1 as well.

I just hope the people having login problems do not get shut out of the site after the smoke has cleared.

Yeah that happened to my account yesterday as well. I went to recover password and it said my email wasn't in the database. So i just registered again and it worked fine. Haven't checked it today yet tho so...

FYI - they won't fix the error anymore. going to #help tells you not to ask questions and to PM the staff...when i did that the pm i got back said they were fixing them in chat (even though it said not to ask questions...wtf?) and they couldn't help anymore people.

they shut down signups so early, the least they could do is help the accounts that actually got created and confirmed in time. pretty lame.
