They said something about 1500 invites that will be sent out initially. Anything more has to be done by user invites. That's a pretty low value considering the circumstances (part of those invites go to people who signed up for their mailing list, pretty over-hyped tracker, many old oink members searching for a good alternative, very popular irc channel with 1300+ users, etc) and it's unlikely that many of us will be among the initial invitees.

got invited for answering a question right last night. was looking very nice for the short while i was able to use it. im on what.cd and this and the small amount of time i spent on this site felt more like oink than what.cd did but i guess we'll just have to give it a month or 2 and see what changes they make and how well they grow.

what.cd gave 10gb because...waffles opened that night and it was free leech.. (what.cd)they didnt wanna lose the crowd...hehe waffle and what both have been down for a while.. if atleast one was up and running properly would have got that extra popularity points... would have clearly come out on top..and never looked back ...well i guess hosting a web site with so much of potential to grow is not easy after all...

i actually found quite easy to get an invite, even durring the massive mad rush. i went to irc and got one within 15 mins of me getting there.. so....????

does'nt matter anyways, since the site is being so hammered + being ddosed (from what i hear)

it's gonna probally be another days or so be fore people will be able to tell how it's gonna be.
