I have no idea how a seedbox works or how to operate one, but am fairly tech savvy and have set up web pages etc before.
So I was looking at this package:
http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ovh.com%2Ffr%2Fproduits%2Fstart100m.xml&langpair=fr%7Cen&hl=en&safe=off&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools
I heard good things about that host
or would you strongly recommend a different place?

So would that package make a good seedbox? im looking to be able to upload at at least 3 mb/s

How will it work when I buy it? Will I need to order linux and install torrentflux or could I get windows 2k3 and use uTorrent or something

Im so lost, any advice is appreciated

also how would it work if I shared with a friend on another ip?

oh yes u guys can access from anywhere with a firefox web browser through webui...all u get is a link something like http://XX.XXX.XXX.XX: Port#/gui/ (http://XX.XXX.XXX.XX:Port#/gui/)

and that would be your webui
and u have a user and pass in which u access it through

You might want to look into whether OVH allows foreigners to buy servers. From my understanding they do not allow any1 outside of France and parts of Canada.

indeed, ovh.com is restricted to some french speaking countries

there is ovh.uk and a couple divisions for other countries, but the bang for the buck value ain't the same at all
